This work is reflective of how I interact emotionally with my environment. When feeling overwhelmed, I retreat to solitude in natural landscape to regain lost perspective. Focusing on the consuming space of landscape and smaller organic detail provides clarity and order. I keep physical evidence of my psychological process by implementing the content found within my environment into a wearable format. Each layer offers new information to be shared or withheld. A narrative of separation and inter-connectivity is conveyed through the compositions of each brooch. Revealing or concealing various elements in my work offers physical evidence of my emotional landscape.

Introspection, 2015.
